hey guys i want to take my car to get some custom piping done on my 96 2.2 cav what is a good size cause i heard 2.5 might be to big and i might end up losing power...Is this true? so if any one out there has done this what size and why or do u recommend thanks alot...
Honestly, unless you're running forced induction (turbo, supercharger) or lots of nitrous... there isn't much point to going higher than 2.25" compression-bent on a basically stock motor.
I'm running 2.5" on a modified 2.4L motor... and it sucked before I put the blower on there. But once it was on... oh man, the extra breathing room sure makes a difference.
What he said. Unless planning for something better, Go with 2.25"

if you have nothing done to it. it's not worth it so much, i mean if you have an intake i mean it does make sence caues you gotta remove the restrictons from both ends. but theres no need to go larger then 2.25
