ok i have a 97 cavy and i wanna install a tach where do u hook it up at ive hooked it up to the green wire and the orange one am i at the wrong plug in or wat help please appreiciate it thanks.
not sure where to hook it in to but i know that you need an autometer tach relay or it wont read properly sorry i couldnt answer your question though

I think you need the white wire for that to work. That and follow any instructions that came w/ it.

i beleive pin 10 on the blue wiring harness on the ECM is a tach signal, but i have no idea if that will work with the guage

http://www.elgauges.com/ProductImages/rig-gauges/RIG-216.jpg They're not bad, I think I spent too much for them ($40.00, some have scored on ebay for half this price) I have the dreaded on/off switch which no one seems to know how to bypass yet. Also the fitment of the sides are a little off, so I think I'll end up trimming the sides off and leave those stock and keep the main center piece reverse glow.
