YES, worth every penny, got em about a month ago, except I had to get the eco upper as well, vibes are kinda harsh at first, but they calm down after the break in, and you get used to em.

All I have is lower engine mounts, and I like them. When flooring it, the engine feels a lot stronger and more stiff then before. As stated, there is a vibration, the vibration has it's bright sides though.. my lady said, "It's like one big vibrator.. a vibrating car." The vibration isn't that bad.. only at idle and sometimes at low rpm. The mounts don't put any pressure on your engine like other mods, they just give you more horsepower to the wheels that you would usually lose.. which to me is a realy good deal. Squeezing out all that unused power is a must is you want to run your car's full potential.

the only time vibes are bad are in the lower rpms or going up a hill at either a high gear or low rpm.

When accelerating and cruising you wont even notice

Worth the buy!!! You will stop noticing the vibes quickly....

JON COLBY the poster of this topic, his engine mounts are already worn, (stock) do these replace those? or will he have to replace the stock ones too?

not sure to understand the question, but the mounts that he found on ebay will replace the lower one and the upper one is an insert, meaning that as long as the structure of the upper mount is still like brand new, he just replace the insert..

i installed my upper and lower mounts on my car. huge diffrence and im happy it was one of the first mods i did.

however around the upper mount i also sprayed expanding foam in the rest of the gaps around the mount......boy was that a mistake....you think youve seen a vibrating car? yeah....try doing what i did.

but the engine doesnt move

and to be honest it only really vibrates at above 80 mph when accelerating.

Hope my upper mount insert comes in the mail today from Karo. Looking forward to install as much as everyone else is about theirs . Of course my dumb ass ended up spending more becuase I only had enough money for the upper mount, then SURPRISE I got a little more money out of nowhere, and got the lower mount separate... wasted a few bucks when I could have just got the "kit" with both.

Grr I'm so blond.

The 1995-02 (2002 year does not use the same upper mount for the ecotec) are all the same.

All 1995-05 J's use the same lower engine mount, and 5 speed trans inserts.

2002-05 ecotec uses a different upper engine mount.

Definately get them from Aaron. Turbo Tech Racing is a great business to deal with.

get them, it doesn't really vibrate bad unless your in too high of a gear for your speed. I love the feel now as I go WOT, feels like a more expensive sports car. all 140 or so(still need to dyno with my boltons) horses being unleashed....

yes you'll like it.

well i dont mean to thread hijack but ive installed both lower and upper must say there great. but i was wondering what exaclty does the transmission mounts do. are they worth 50 bucks?

Re: ENGINE MOUNTS WORTH IT ???

listening.......

I've been researching this also. I have had some say that it is not worth it and others that say best mod next to a B&M Short Throw.........

Re: ENGINE MOUNTS WORTH IT ???

My little brother has them, added onto his lower motor mount. You'll hear some transmission whine with them installed, but there is a difference in response time as the transmission doesn't first move, then apply power to the wheels. A lot like when you did your lower motor mount.
