well i just came into a small (very small) amount of money around $1500
I'm open to any sugestions
So far I've got a CAI, Spark plugs/wires
Things that i want to buy
headers
Cat Back exhaust
motor mounts
If any of you can think of anything else just let me know
Yeah, headers improve and get a custom catback because it's cheaper. Might as well get a bigger catylitic converter and a muffler. Motor mounts are a wise choice as well, for the money it's great. Despite the minor vibration, when racing the engine feels strong. I'd also go with cams, cam gears, ground kit, hyper voltage, lightweight crank and alternator pulleys, and a throttle body. I think that should about do it for your money. Good luck with the can, and have fun. Oh, I'd also buy one thing at a time. The fun last longer and you get to experience the difference for each part; and if you change your mind after a certain mod then you will be able to.

well what about these two things i have heard of
auto trans interceptor
B&M shift plus electronic shift improver
Where whould i go to get a custom cat back and how much would it cost?
I went to meineke, it was 200 for a 2.25" converter and catback with the labor. I bought a performance muffler from some local shop for 80, but you can find mufflers anywhere. As for your transmission upgrades, I haven't heard much feedback on them and personally I wouldn't get it.. but only becuase I race differently. When I race, I shift the auto gears. I know it'll kill my tranny eventually, but I am getting a stick once they find one for my year in the junkyards. I only race like that becuase I noticed a big gain in torque when I use it, and I only use it of the line. Anyways, I wouldn't recomend shifting your auto if you don't have a warranty and if you want to play it safe then I'd give those auto-trans-helpers a try becuase they aren't that costly and I'm not that pesimistic about them.

i do the same thing man and i can notice a difference too
Ohh, haha then I don't if the auto trans mods will help or not, I never looked into it if It would help when shifting like that. But I'd start off with your basic bolt-ons and the ones I wrote. Supporting mods gets your engine ready once you drop in some major power. It'll all add up. Even though I'm impatient, I did one mod at a time and saw how each mod improved my performance. Some couldn't even feel it, and some gave a noticable impact. Trust me, the fun and passion for your car will stay (and maybe even grown) with you longer if you have patience and mod one by one.

I would just save the money till I figured out what exactly I'm looking for performance wise. You may decide to spend all this money on bolt ons and decide that you want boost. I know I wish I did.

You can build your own turbo kit for a little under $2,000 ....... if I had $1,500 chunk of change laying around I know I'd save up for a week or two and buy me that, night and day differences are always the most fun, that way you can F with your friends cars for a week or two hehe.
but wouldn't i need most of the bolt on parts to super turbo
i didn't mean to type super
support is what i meant to say

No.
You can run a turbo setup on a stock car with no type of exhaust upgrade if you wanted to.
I find it's better to do this because now you have a strong starting point and every little thing you do will gain you more power than if you were to have a stock car and add bolt ons which will gain you very little power.

but droping all that money in one shot
i dont know if i can do that
i was think about things that cost anywhere from 100 to 400 dollars each
what kind of stuff can i get in that price range

Well think of it this way...
What you're doing is investing into your vehicle, right? Why not spend your money on something worth while? I mean...you could always spend your $1500 on little bolt ons like an exhaust upgrade (header, cat & piping) and maybe an intake & throttle body...but how much power do you think you'll really gain from it?
If you have $1500, use it wisely! You never know when you'll have another $1500. This is why you think like a smart car owner as far as what is worth the money per gain. I mean, I don't know what type of gains you are looking for but I don't know anyone who would really want to turn down boost lol
Save up another $500-700 and you can have all the parts you need for a proper turbo setup...exactly what I've been doing. I'll be spending more than that cause I'm buying more expensive parts but you could have a basic turbo kit (intercooled and tuned) for around that much if you play it smart.
That's just my suggestion.

save your money and go turbo. I wish i would have done the same thing. Turbo=power, bolts-ons will only do so much for power, turbo is where it is at
what is is yo
do you know if weapon r parts are any good?
i saw em on your sigs site

Yes. I have the Intake and Header.
(I guess that's a no on the turbo idea lol)

i dont know i really want to get it
i may just save my money until tax return and go f#@!in crazy!

Trust me, it will be much more worth your while to save up and make a complete and honest decision.

Thats what im gonna do then
thanks man i probably would have blown it all on some little crap
and never had that much money again in the life of my car
by the way how fast are we talkin with a turbo + headers + cat back + intake and even the spark plugs and wires
and is there any thing else i can get?

Well with a Turbo setup, you wouldn't have an header...it would be an turbo manifold and you wouldn't have an intake, you would be using intercooler piping connecting to your throttle body.

well i didnt know that
well how powerful will that be?
If you want to talk more about turbo setups etc etc, contact me privately...I don't want this to be a full turbo discussion and stem far from your original question.

Thermal catback on ebay right now.
Check it out.

Remember....syringes go in the RED waste basket.
Boost. It I had that much money to spend on my car, I'd boost her. Or it you didn't want a turbo, you could go with nitrous and some bolt ons.
Dealing with some of your original questions - yes, the Autotrans Interceptor improves shifting and may actually lengthen the life of your clutch. If you do a search, you'd find more than a few threads on this product. It increases tranny line pressure so it shifts 'harder' without slipping the clutch. The Autotrans is basically 'plug n play' while the B&M Shiftplus, although accomplishes the same thing, must be spliced into wires. Furthermore, the Autotrans has very many settings while the Shiftplus has three (Off, 1, 2). I'm not one to start splicing wires so I got the Autotrans but I have yet to put it in.
Also, a 'larger' cat converter isn't necessarily what you might want to look for. A high-flow cat is something you should look in to if you were going to change your cat for something more performance oriented. If 'larger' meant larger diameter, then you should match the diameter to your exhaust piping. Magnaflow high flow cats are a good deal, I purchased a Magnaflow hi-flow (P/N 94035), it has a 2.25" in/out with o2 bung.
Digressing from the topic to what you and NJHK started to discuss, bolt ons will only get you so far. There isn't alot of power with bolt-ons and with $1500 you'd be better off going with something that actually made a $1500 difference, like boost. If you're considering going turbo or supercharged, make sure you read up. Once the tax break comes, and you'll want to splurge, make sure you have enough information before you start buying parts. I was once in your position, as soon as you get a chunk of money, drop it somewhere. Hold off until you do alot of reading, trust me, you'll be alot happier.
Blown.
