will the o2 casper simulator from a 95-02 work with the ecotec?

also if it does not work with the ecotec what happens if ur car does not have a 02 sim plugged in? i have no cat and thats why i got the 02 sim but if its the wrong one im gona return it and order a magnaflow 94035, but for the time being is my car gona be okay without a 02 sim?

It's junk. I tried it on another car and it's a waste of money, right up there with the Venom 400 PCM. There's a thread on the org. somewhere about a "manual O2 sim" that apparently works pretty well. I haven't tried it but quite a few have from what I've seen. I don't know all the details but it uses spark plug (antifoulers??) to basically block the sensor from direct exhaust flow, which apparently allows it to throw readings that are within factory spec. Some Cavaliers need it when running on a header and high flow cat, some don't. If your car isn't throwing a code from the ECU, don't mess with it.

No that will not work for the ecotec, It doesnt even work for the 95-02 2.2's
Your car will be allright without the sensor for a while, It will make for hard starts in the cold weather and it wont perform the best either.

well i just got the proper one, i took back the casper 104045 and got a 104065, that one is spose to work for the ecotec i guess, working good so far
