No problem man just hit me up on e-mail and we can make yours faster too. Now as for the whole screwing it up thing and leaving you out to dry, Not me. besides I don't go into the bowl area and don't get stupid with the grinding and so far so good no problems. True I don't have a C&C machine in my garage but for a hundred bucks I would hope your not expecting me to have one. I port the intake and exhaust ports to the gasket size and clean up the intake and exhaust ports up to the valve but I don't re-shape the combustion chamber or bowl area.
Whatever, If you want your head ported for a hundred bucks E-mail me, if not no biggie.

umm, not to derail anyone here, but Jack, if you don't go into the bowl area exactly what ARE you doing? thats the biggest area of restriction in the whole head, the bowl and the short side radius....

The reason I don't go into the combustion chamber area ( other then to polish it )
is I don't want to remove any material that could effect the compression ratio of the engine. You start grinding in there and removing material and your dropping the CR
with every little shaveing.
All I do is gasket port match the runners and open them up a little and smooth things out. Like I said I've never had a problem OR a complaint from anyone that I've done any porting work for.

I charge very little comparitively to any shop around as its kind of fun in a hobby sort of way for me. If anyone would still like me to do thier port work E-mail away. the bowl and the combustion chamber are two different things.... when referring to the "bowl" in port work, that refers to the valve pocket area. Which like i said is the biggest point of restriction in the head. Just doing a match port to the intake and smoothing the exhaust runner a little isn't going to do a whole lot, especially not on an OHV head. Granted, what you are charging is reasonable for what you do, but to anyone looking to do this, be aware that to if you opt for this, you will not get the max flow and if you choose to go to a turbo or a more advance n/a setup later on, that you will have to take the head back off and spend more money to have a complete port done with extensive valve-pocket work done, as well as at least a 3 angle valve job and preferably a back-cut on the valves as well.. I wish i had the time in my day to offer my services, but unfortunately I just don't.

What I do is a mild port and polish if thats not enough then by all means go to a full service machine shop. I won't be upset, its your car so whatever you want to do with it
is totally up to you. No hard feelings or getting pissy or anything.
Just don't expect a machine shop to charge you olny a hurndred bucks

To hit those numbers I'm probly not your man. Try someone who has a C&C machine and get a FULL port and polish job with over size valves and and 3 angle valve job.
Just be sure to sit down BEFORE they give you the price or you may fall over.
