Im guessing there has been a million posts on this. But imma ask anyways. I have a 1995 Pontiac sunfire, 2.2L. Ive dont pretty much everything ive had to on the outside of the car: Bodykit, Rims, 2 Tone Paint Job...done all the work myself.... So you think my car looks fast? Guess again. I raced this kid with a 97 sunfire, complete stock POS. Lets just say we were completely even up to 90 miles an hour. Then i backed off for fear of getting caught / crack the engine. And then it hit me. HOW THE FRICK CAN I MAKE THIS BIATCH GO FASTER?! I have this crap aluminum BOMBZ air intake that i got off ebay....and some muffler called "Raven." Dont know if you guys have ever heard of it. But anyways, I was wondering, what can i do to increase my accelaration time? I can care less about top speed. Thats for if your gonna be at an average of 75-90 mph. IF this car can get about 90. So basically im looking at accelaration increase. Im on kind of a low budget....aka i have no money...(as of now, I will in about a month) Gimme some ideas guys.
PS, I dont need top of the line equipment!

Well i have a decnt setup for you..lol..i found it helped in my 95 2.2..i have a ceramic coated pacesetter header, un installed comp cams 1.6 rocker swap, and a bored out tb project i have a tb on my 99 2200 and it helped alot and i never got to install the rockers but ive heard good things. Well your Bomz intake is just fine. Just make sure you're using a K&N filter rather than the crappy one they come with. You can go to an exhaust shop and upgrade your 2" piping to 2.25" and that should free up your car a little more too. That all should cost around $150. But since you have no money, you may want to just keep going to school and work a part time job until you get some money that you can spend. What happened to all your Christmas money anyway???

very few cheap mods, intake, pacesetter armor coated header, and a 2.25 exhaust with a high flow cat and a good muffler, and a little bigger TB like 56mm, some motor mounts, that should free up alitlle more power... beyond that it really starts getting more expencive and more involved. i know i am there now
