For everyone who has done this swap (2.3L throttle body on 2200) is there anything I should know ... ?
any problems I may run into ?
any tips ?
and most importantly... does it really do anything ?
I got a 2.3L TB for free .... and I'm fat and lazy ... so I'm just wondering if it's even worth doing ... as opposed to getting one from RSM or JBP

YES its worth doing. I love mine, though im getting another one, mine is cracked.

did you use the IAC from the 2.3 ? or swap it with the one from the orig ? the tb I have is in good shape ... structurally .. but I'm sure it was in a car that detonated or something ... there's some prehistoric- fossil like deposits in spots .. so I'm a little weary about using the IAC thats with the 2.3 tb

you probably have to use the IAC from the 2200, because of the difference between OBD1 and OBDII.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
when i first did this on my 2200 i used the same IAC from the TB but i swapped out the TPS from my newer TB from the 2200, just because I knew it would work right, just clean it up real good and have fun.
get some brake cleaner and go to town on the TB before it goes in !

you dont have to change ANYTHING besides the rotor arm....
its all in the writeup.
had a hell of a time with mine, it leaked, then got that under control, then the car got stuck at 4k rpms... i think it was a sensor related issue.
i've got a hybrid 2200/2.3L TB that i'm willing to sell, it bolts up and everything, if anybody wants it $150 CAD obo

only reason i re-used the old TPS from my 2200 was because i did not know the condition of the one already on the TB and only wanted it off once, but the write-up Event did was key to me even doing it
