what else is good to paint under the hood other than the rocker cover
Don't paint anything, Powder coat or polish. Looks much better than spray paint.

on the LD9 we painted the Timing houseing and powdercoated the IDI cover black, other then that we repowdercoated the GM Chager brackets black.
