Bunch of questions - 2200
Friday, December 02, 2005 3:05 PM
Ok well im in need of some not so talked about Info, so here i go.

1) What type of Pushrod End type is there stock, and is it the same style needed for an upgrade?

I have a set of Rockers from Howell, 1mm Overbore valves from, i cant recall of the top of my head. and a Bare partroit head for the 2200.

2) Can i use beehive style valve springs, if so what size, and what retainers can i use for best results and light weight?

Damn, there was something else i needed to ask, when i think of it again ill post here.
sorry.

The valves.... just so you know ... since there 1+ mm oversized... you need to send that head to a Machine shop so that the Valve seats can be machined.... make sure you send the valves with the head so they can be matched up individually....

The pushrods have a balled end stock Since you have a 2200, go with the Crane pushrods from Howell (cheap and good quality). JBP used to send out beehive springs with their cams, but recently stopped for whatever reason (they'd probably tell you the part number and manufacturer if you asked, since they no longer sell them). Retainer selection is going to be scarce, check out JBP for some possibilities, or head to the machine shop.
