I need help, does anyone have pics of the cam, crank, and timing chain from a 2.2 or a 2200? I need to see how the timing marks and a place on the cam gear matches up.
thanks to anyone willing to help me out.
No pics, but I can tell you how they line up.
There is a small dot on one of the teeth of the crank gear. That dot lines up with the tab of metal on the tensioner located in between the centerlines of the two gears. The cam gear may have one of two different marks, either a small hole, approximately a 1/4" diameter, on the edge of the gear next to the teeth, or a dot on the teeth. That hole or dot will line up with the same metal tab on the tensioner.
Line up all three marks as close as possible and your set.
