Header, Exhaust, and Underdrive questions

Hey lots of quesitons, im thinking of keeping my ecotec NA.
Currently going 67mph on cruise controll my RPM's are at 2.5k (AUTO). By adding a new header, and exhaust (2.25) would that lower the RPM's at all. Also i was thinkign of getting and unorthodox or lightened undedrive pully, would that lower the RPMS as well?? Thank you

no they wont change the rpm at all

only thing that would would either be tires or changing the final drive or gearing in the trans

oh yeah they really need an edit function.
BUt if the exhaust does, what do you recommend that sounds really deep and throaty, like v8, i hate the rasp of ricer rockets. Im thinking of goind dual (yeah does nothing ubt it looks nice), thanks.

Well I will tell you this, your car will more than likely never sound like a V8, so don't even aim for that sound. What you can do is aim for a throaty "4 cylinder sound".

If you're building your own exhaust system, get a 2 1/4" piping (compresion bends or mendrel), a long resonator and pick yourself out a muffler that you like (I personally like Magnaflows). As far as a catalytic converter, you can get yourself a high-flow cat that matches up with your piping size from Magnaflow & you can pick a header that you want.

Also, seeing you have an ECOTEC, you should really read the write I did on the main page and that will answer ALOT of your future questions...
