Weight reduction
Sunday, November 06, 2005 1:14 PM
Cavalier 1996 2-door coupe : 2617 lbs
Civic 1996 2-door coupe: 2262 lbs

I just saw those numbers on the Internet and I was shocked.

Where is all that weight hiding in our cars? A 350 lbs difference between similar cars like that is huge...

i think that weight is wrong. The 93-95 civic hatch weighed that but the 96 coupe was just over 2500lbs.

It's from all the cup holders and McDonalds trays that american car manufacturers include in most of their cars.

It's from the shat load of plastic used to construct our interiors.

Well, probably we have more in safety wise and they use different parts than we do.

If you want some ways of weight reduction, get rid of anything inside your car that your not using. I even went as far as doing this: Samantha went on a Jeffie diet plan.
