so im getting a pacesetter header for my 2.4, and have a debate. i currently have the lower MP mount, and im not up for getting the upper one.
so some people say the ball joint on the header is enough to allow for some movement.
others say its not enough and that you should install an additional flex pipe on the downpipe.
so, what are YOUR opinions?

1 of the eco guy had a flex joint added and had alot of problems , but the big 1 was the shop messed up
Throw the ball socket out and get a flew pipe welded in.
Thats what I did.

That is always a good option also. That way you wont EVER have an exhaust leak there

I just have the ball joint but I'm rnning a turn buckel for the lower mount that way the engine can't rock back and forth and so far so good.

Speaking of ball sockets... yea they suck. But I fixed that leak with some Permatex copper gasket maket and some new bolts and nuts from the hardware store.

speaking of the pacesetter, whats up with the 2 1/4 inch outlet off the lower part after the ball joint? that blows, I was hoping for 2 1/2 all the way out! Any suggestions?

Ragin Z, you could prolly got to a muffler shop and have a new piece made to be 2.5"
RaGiNZ, I just had an exhaust shop make a 2 1/2 inch one and thats what I'm running right now.
2 1/2 inch all the way to the mufflers and yes it made a big difference and no I didn't lose any low end.
