Riddle me this, riddle me that.

One a ECOtec 2200, how much would porting and polishing the intake and exhaust manifold heads really count for? I'm thinking about having it done. It's my daily driver, and I don't want to hurt my gas mileage. Is that even possible?

Um... you only have one head bro and the Ecotec and the 2200 are two different things. Redefine your specific question. If you want a Port and Polish job, do it. It's one of the best ways to gain power out of an N/A motor and it works great for boost too. Plus, should you get cams later it will really help open up the airflow.

Wow. Sorry, i was trying to "talk the talk". I feel like an idiot. It's a 2.2 Liter Ecotec. So how would it affect gas mileage and Horsepower? Oh yeah, AEM Cold Air Intake, and a 2.25" Cat-back. Sorry again, I'm gonna go bang my head into a wall...

OK. So you've got intake and a catback so far. You'll feel a VERY noticeable difference with a header and a PnP job, then keep it up with other bolt ons such as pulley, solid mounts, etc etc etc. Just take a look at the Eco build guide sticky. Adam wrote it well. Stay away from that DC Sport header though.

Tkae it from someone who has an rebuilt ECOTEC head...it's worth the gains. The only difference is that it'll be very useful for my turbo setup that I'll be having soon.

Check out Jbody Performance or Patriot Performance...they make complete heads. If you're going to have the head off anyways, might as well replace everything on it (springs, retainers etc).

the stock intake manifold and fuel rail are just fine. however, if you go forced induction or heavy all motor you can get throttle bodies from RSM

I would finish the more simple bolt ons before going to a p&p head. I would also do the cams at the same time so you only need to take it all apart once.
