Hey all.
I was reading on the FAQ that the Ecotec on the new Cobalts come with electric power steering pumps. Is this a do-able mod for our cars?
Im trying to find some easy HP like underdrive crank pully, alternator and maybe this mod?? Nice way to free up whats already there. I want my car to be fast but I dont want it to sound like a Lawnmower on steroids.
the cobalt steering isnt adaptable to our cars
its built into the steering rack , and isnt the type of set up like everyone thinks
the pump isn't electric... cuz there is no pump. just a series of electric motors in the rack that provide steering assistance INSTEAD of having a hydraulic pump.

my god i'm continually amazed at how people post stuff like that... thats a mechanical/hydraulic belt driven pump, ithas absolutely no use on an eco.
