"Trac Off" light issue.....
Thursday, October 20, 2005 4:33 PM
Ok I have a problem. Recently I installed an Autotrans Interceptor on my 01 2.4L. Now I set it at around 20 psi increase for the line pressure. Originally 30 had set off my "Trac Off" light, so I reduced it. I didn't see the light for almost a week until...well recently. It started about a week after I put my new upper/lower engine mounts in. Can the vibrations from the motor be setting this off now? Or is my interceptor still too high?
When I turn the car off, and restart it, the light goes off for awhile until I start driving again. Thanks again everyone.
Joe

I think that it was it is supposed to do. Do anyother lights come on in your dash? I have the B&M shiftplus and I only get the trac off light when I turn it on. The autotrans is just plug and play with no off or on buttons correct. So maybe its doing what it supposed to be doing.

I really couldnt tell you tho haha

Thanx Charles

Nope thats the only light, but I'm assuming it the combined vibration from the Interceptor and the engine mounts setting it off, so I'll have to live with it. Thanks, unless anyone has a suggestion.

Vibrations have nothing to do with it.

That light is coming on due to line pressure like you said. When you turn it up to a certain point it comes on and stays on. I think when you decrease it to a certain level it won't come on or it will come on and off but it won't effect anything really.

Try erasing your codes and see if it comes back again. Even if it's still there, it shouldn't be an issue...you still have traction control, it will still work (trust me on experience). If you are worried about inspection, just uninstall it.
