what does it go from? like 1500-1000?
say im coming to a stop, it'll stay at whatever rpm i push the clutch in at until im goin like 3mph.....and whenever i shift it'll stay at that rpm till i let the clutch out...i dunno, im going to get the 2.3 iac valve tomorrow and we'll see what happens....im hoping that fixes my problem.....

hmm...i know with mine...i drive and start to slow down..put the clutch in and it stays at 1500 for about 2 secs then drops to 1000....so i dunno
^^^^yeah me too. but you have to use the 2.3 tb sensors
ok this is wierd......when i turn on my ac the rpms go up....WTF?? and i had the sensors switched around in my earlier post lol....im going to replace the tps, im gonna put the 2.3 one on and see what happens....should i use the 2.3 iac valve also? or just the tps? or am i doing this wrong......it whistles, is that normal? i need help!! i dont like how my car is acting right now lol......seems wierd......the tps is flat, no leaks, its the one off my stock tb.....the iac valve sets nice in its spot...so i dunno what could be wrong here.....ahhhh!!!! lol, thanks to everyone that has helped, and anyone that can help in the future....

i have the 2.3 ld2 tb om mine although mines an auto. i used the iac and tps connectos on mine and used the 2.4 wiring harness' to plug them in with no problems. the whistling sound i believe is normal, i think thats just the plate opening and closing so it isnt a problem. again i have an auto, from a cold start my rpms would sit around 700-800rpms, and after warm-up and if im at a light it'll either be between 650-800rpms fyi.
*Devil Z*
now it idles at like 1200 to about 300, almost stalling.....wtf? im getting tired of this.......it'll catch itself sometimes, revving up to about 2200, then just starts doing it again.....if i press the gas just a little to make it rev to about 1400, then it doesnt fluctuate at all.....just stays at that rpm......eh, i didnt get the sensors today cause it was raining out and very very cold lol.....but could that be the prob? i have the wrong sensor hooked up? i looked at them both, the 2.4 and the 2.3 iac valve look the same, but the 2.3 tps is diff than the 2.4 tps.....which one should i use? thanks again guys

I was told to always use the sensors for the TB. so 2.3TB goes with 2.3 sensors

i had idle problems at first; turned out being a bad IAC. make sure both the IAC and TPS are good if you haven't already. maybe go to a junkyard and get a couple and swap them in.
ok, fixed now lol....you all can laugh if you'd like......
i disconnected the battery for about an hour and it idles fine lol......no one ever told me to do that lol......but thanks for all your help guys
and if anyone is looking to do this mod.....please do.....you'll love it......and you can def tell on a boosted car.....oh my god can you tell.....but thanks again guys.......

ZStreetCavSC - i picked up a 2.3tb off a 95 z24 awhile back and had a buddy at a machine shop port it out for me to 60mm. Could you post pics of your tb on your s/c? I was going to throw it on my car but i noticed the throttle wheels were exactly the same, does this matter? if you could get me pics or explain this to me that would be great. Thanks.

ok. the throttle wheel, ill call it a rotor, should be at about a 90 deg angle of what it should be at on the 2.3 tb. when the 2.3 rotor is lined up with the 2.4 rotor, the butterfly should be all the way open.....if it is not, and its already lined up, then all you have to do is slap it on....
now if its not the same, your gonna have to dremel that little nipple thingy that holds on the rotor off, you should see a faint small rectangle when you have done it right. it should be smooth with the end of the cruise bracket.....then all you have to do is take a flathead and pry it off....i had to use a hammer, one cause i was pissed that it wouldnt come off and didnt really care if i broke it at that time lol.....two cause you cant really pull it off.......
then the rotor should come off, you will have to pry at that also, just make sure to not put too much pressure on it, cause it might break. i didnt have this happen fortunately.....so once you get it off, you'll have to take your 2.4 tb and the 2.3 with the rotor off, and line them up. then press the rotor back on the 2.3 tb, and make sure its lined up nice....cause if its not, you might not be able to close the butterfly all the way.....press it back on there, you might have to hit it with a hammer or something, then your done. just install the 2.3 tb, only 2 holes are used instead of 4.....make sure you have your battery unplugged lol....or you'll idle high lol....if you have any more q's then just ask, i just done this 3 days ago so its fresh in my memory.....hope that helps.....

just to add to Z street, it is easy enough to do this with the TB assembled, however if you are going to have to do any beating and this is your first time doing this i would suggest taking the plate off and pulling out the bar and arms to work on seperately. hell if your gona beat it i would suggest taking it apart anyway.
only difference i noticed with the TPSs was the angle that they bolted to the TB, which accounted for the angle ground into the the "throttle arm holder bar", for lack of a better term and a severe brain fart. there will have to be some widening of the hole on the IIRC high side of your cable bracket, don't forget to attach your cruise arm if you have it before sealing everything up.
