Gain on 2.3 Throttle Body

What type of gain will I see with the 2.3 HO Throttle Body on my car? It's a 2000 with the 2200 engine, equipped with a AEM intake. Just wondering since it'll be couple of weeks before I get mine put on.

I'll have a sig someday....................

well from what I've learned it's not so much a gain as shifting the powerband a little.

but of course, the larger TB will give you a little bit more umph than before, but I don't know any official numbers to this.

2.3 is so much better...i put my old tb back on today so i could pass emissions tomorrow and it sucks. Much more pull in the upper rpms with it.

while true on the upper rpms pulls, you lose it in the lower rpms.... so really its not anything much significant really.

until your engine burns more gas, has a bigger spark and actually can utilize more air, dont expect much.

Wopuld the MSD coils be enough to create more spark if I already have 10.2mm wires and NGK TR6 plugs? From what RPM does the throttle body start creating more power? I figured with only a 4mm jump that losing low end prob. wouldn't be all that much.

no

you start losing power once you start going over volumetric efficiency. i made a post which got turned into something off topic issue, but page 1 is basically on topic. use the search button and type in "110%" and set it for all dates...

with my mods(not much) i definetly saw a decent difference in upper rpms...lower rpms has been fine for it, but up there is where mine lacks, and it's definetly something i'm missing with the 2.3. A few more mins and i'm going outside to put it back on

I love my 2.3 and the HO manifold at WOT. FWOAHAHAHAHAAH!

it sounds pretty mean and well I like where it moved my powerband, so yeah. but 56mm is probably as big as you should go if you decide to stick with it

haha i ported and polished it at my machine shop to 63mm, and im using the ho manifold. My engine just seems to be running more efficient. That's about it. I can't say necessarily that i feel any difference, becuase feeling a difference is nothing compared to the hard numbers of a before and after dyno for a baseline for mods.

The idle is alot more smooth now. It feels like it can breath. and it def GULPS air when i touch the throttle.
Watch the slack on the TB wheel though, i am having troubles with that right now, since half the wheel is missing off the one i got.

I'm back from the dead.
