There are many people here who have 2.2 OHV motors with the Pacesetter headers and don't experience anytype of issues with accessories or their starter. Yes, your header gets hot but as long as it is not physically touching the header, it should not cause any type of problems. If for some reason you want to be even more sure that nothing will happen, of course, you can wrap your header but it's not necessary. Just keep everything pulled back away from the header as possibly can and you'll be fine. By doing this, it will prevent it from accidentally touching the header while your vehicle is moving.
Also a suggestion, to keep your header from moving and touching acessories/hoses etc, you can get motor mounts to keep your motor stiff and keep your header from touching them. That's exactly what I did because I was having an issue with my header touching a hose...I also zip tied my hoses together and away from the header but of course we have 2 different motors. This is what it looks like:
^^^ In that picture you can see that the hoses are pretty damn close to the header and in some cases the coolant hose was actually touching the header and slowly burning the hose. After the picture was taken I zip tied the 2 hoses together and it's no longer a problem.
I hope this has helped...good luck.
BTW, sorry I can't answer your 1st question...

thanks for the advice
i think that i am going to put some header wrap on just to be safe....as far as the coolant pipe goes i guess i'll figure out some way to mount it
thanks again for the help!!!!!!!
no. do NOT use header wrap, especially on Pacesetters. it will rust and crack because moisture will still get in there.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
