First off where can I get this done? Ive heard crane cams will do it but at what cost? Also do i buy a new cam and send it to them to do the grind? Last ? is how would I find a good set of specs for a cam that would give a nice gain on and off of N20? I have a fully upgraded valvetrain so that is not an issue.
thankx all!
JBP's stage 2 cam would work wonderfully for off and on the bottle. I think Crane can get blanks no trouble for our cars so just call them up, copy JBP's stage 2 cam specs, and give them to Crane.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
Just call Crane at 386/258-6174 and follow the instructions to talk to Dave Maxwell, he's the one responsible for these motors and he's very familiar with them. Have all the applicable information on the
Camshaft Recommendation Form handy when you call to help him to find a cam for your application.
i had my sent to new hamshire to be done.only costed like $400
If your going to use JBP's cam specs, why not just buy the cam from them. I heard Crane is the one grinfding all there cams anyways.
And it would probably be cheaper than going to crane directly.

Oh, and i do know that more lift and duration on the exhaust side will be better for N2O, also N2O likes a narrrow Lobe Separation Angle, but im not sure how narrow you can go with the stock PCM before you start having problems.

Actually all the Comp Cams and Crane Cams Nitrous cams all have 112-114 lobe separation angles and more liat and/or duration on the exhaust side. This is done to keep the air(nitrous) / fuel chage from blowing out the exhast and to release the extra cylinder pressure.
thats odd, guy at JBP told me that the intake side stayed open longer on the n20 cam.
