okay i fried a piston in my 2.2l ohv. should i buy a shortblock and build it up, or do a motoro swap? my car is already turbod so if i swap my manifold is useless. input and ideas please. this is a sucky time for my motoro to blow. my car was going to the body shop on tuesday its still goin' but less a motor. looks like i got a busy weekend.

Since you're already turbo'd, I would work that 2.2 OHV and build up the bottom end since you have to open it anyways.

a build up would obviously be the easier solution instead of you changing over everything just to change to a stock engine...

and from your other post, if you go to an engine not originally in the car, you will be doing a decent amount of wiring and custom work taking even longer...
