What is it a "race" header......
Nevermind the last picture tells all. Looks good, now if they could only do that with the eco header.

For the 2.4L?
I had no idea.

Have any part numbers for it?

Woah,
Interesting design,

Its like 4-2-1, but its looking like a 4-1 lol
Cool.

Still though, I didn't know they were out for the 2.4.
Hmmm, kinda diggin the design, sort of, kind hard to see the intermediate pipe.

Gotta find some numbers on that thing.

Thanks for the pics.

the header is a 4-2-1 and is for the 96-02 , you reuse the stock gasket and that will either open or block the egr port , the flange has a chanel like the stock manifold

they have been in the works since about the time the eco header came out

im waiting for the dyno info from the testing , if i remember it was 10-12

this 1 i believe is the first off the production line , this was from the final test fit

i can tell you the car with the straigh pipe is freakin loud , i had all the stock pipe on the car before just a glass pack in place of the muffler , and the stock cat was hollowed out , and it was fairly lound before , but now its insanely loud when you stick your foot into it

Is the eco a race header w/o the cat?

So can we order this thing yet?

Went to the site, listed as coming soon.

Interesting how they don't like to use the bolts/spring combo.

there is a braided style flex joint after the 2-1 section

and im not sure what the pipe size is

im not sure if they are making any changes to the header yet , there was only 1 minor issue with the flange being close to the heat shield , but its easy to tweak the shield a little bit , to get it out of the way , allthough it never rattled before we bent the shield for the extra clearence

i am waiting for a call back from them , so ill try to find out some more details on when they will be avaliable , and get the dyno stuff , and sizes

Actually its probably a waste of time and money for them cuz they won't sell many even though its probably the best made head on the market for the 2.4 .

No, it's just a replacement manifold that retains the stock down pipe.

I think the same thing.

Will be nice to have more data about this header, like:
1.- design, seems to be a 4-2-1 header.
2.- sizes, primaries, secondaries and downpipe
3.- material, seems to be mild steel,
4.- ceramic coated or not, seems to ceramic coated according to the pics,
5.- price and who is selling it.

Anyway looks really good. But maybe could be expensive.

Regards,

$399 would be decent.
Isn't that the price of the Ecotec version?

looks nice.

not sure if it would be worth my ripping off the isuzuperformance 4-2-1 header for this.

But if i was in the market for a header as of now, i would probably get the DC one, as i bet it will be under 500$.

keep us updated.
