what if you route some cold air coming from your AC to your throtle body during summer,will you notice any gains?
any gain would be minimal to none. they would be so small that you wouldnt even feel a gain. just keep driving your car and abuse the ac for yourself

The amount of drag on the engine by running the a/c would negate any gains from cold air. We really have to stop these "crazy idea" threads..... Maybe rig it up so that whenever a noob posts a thread entitled "crazy idea" it automatically sends them to the search page...

I do howeverthink there is possiably a way to make something like this work. what if you were to route one or all of your ac pipes around your intake or TB let it run on high before you run and right before you do shut it down the cold pipes could reduce charge temps wich equal more hp there are possiablites. but you got to rembere dont tunr on your ac when you run.

Honestly, I think that would be pointless. Even if that did work, the amount of temperature drop wouldn't be noticeable.

I totally agree with you Jay. The last "crazy idea" thread was using an electric motor to push air through your throttle body....
People, cars have been around for a long time and technology for making them go faster have been around for almost as long, I don't think your 10 minutes of thinking will result in some "new wonderful product". The fact is, if you want true power, you have to spend big money.

if u want to feel results some of u have probibly have heard of this if u go to the track make a bucket or braket for your intake and put "dry ice" in it and u will get some cold mother freakin air it would take mods to your intake but it can work

Or what about. Adopting a tank of compressed O2, at some percent, to the intake so that the car takes in a higher % of O2 instead of outsdide air?

put the air temp sensor in the ac duct and that should help i think? as long as you shut it off right before you run

actually with a good turbo and intercooler setup, your intercooler to throttle body pipe (unless it's on a really hot day) should be basically cold to the touch after being run.

your A/C has a WOT switch to turn it off, and yes it has been done, seen a 7hp gain on the dyno, this was on a 3.1L engine

wait so your saying this has worked. I wouldnt say that the gains wouldnt be so minimal that it wouldnt be worth it. because thats what they said about the leafblower "nah it wont work its pointless" and then som one did it any way and wouldnt you know it it works.
