ok ive searched for pictures ....ive checked quad4forums writeup and checked nyjbodies writeup and still cant find what i need
i need pictures of all the vaccum lines that go into the TB and MANI and i need pictures of where the vaccum lines come from. somehow mine got all jumbled up and im not sure which ones plug into where and whatnot
theres a white one that comes from the firewall
theres one that comes from near the AC condenser
theres one that comes from the coolant tank area
i have my fuel rail one plugged in right...and i have my brake booster plugged in right
those are the only 2 im positive are hooked up correctly
PLEASE HELP --- Take up close pictures for me..... tell me where i can find the pictures im looking for
First we gotta know which TB you are using.
If you're using your 2.4 TB, you won't be using a port or two.

i don't recognize the "white one" coming out of the firewall that you described.. but the one from the ac condenser you can see runs up between runner 2 and 3 and behind the mani and then onto my tb (doesn't really matter how you run it...front or back)... then there was one more line that had to be hooked up to the tb.. just a tiny one...
Any other one I can think of is just the map sensor.. which i hooked up on the port in between runner's 2 and 3

i think i figured it out...i think the white one plugs in down near the ac compressor and then has a different one that runs up to the tb..
the small one that you have left over...does it come from near the coolant reservoir
Umm I have no idea.. but it looks like it runs that way from the pictures I took... it should be the only one you have left over now..

hey man just put my mani on 2 days ago ok hope i can help, the line from the ac goes to the bigger one next to the brake booster and the white one you refer to is the smaller pipe on the tb, but the only thing i was having trouble with is on the quad 4 forum it doesnt tell you what to do with the hole in the back of the mani, i just pluged that and the one in the front with the sensor i pluged too
ok i think what i need is close up...detail pics of the one that comes from the ac...i think thats where my problem is
the one from the ac you need to extend am i correct
my problem = 3 hoses and only 2 plugs so i need to know where i got the 3rd one from....where it came from....

and the one by the coolant
I'll go out with my camera today to find this white one.. is it coming through the hole in the firewall or just running along there?

well you should have to areas on the TB to runs hoses. You need to extend the one comming from the AC compressor area. and then put the white hose on the TB as well. The hose from the fuel rail should go on the manifold itself, and so should the MAP sensor.

ok...thanks urweak....theres another hose...coming from underneath the coolant reservoir...where does this go to? does it not plug into anything?
There shouldnt bee any comming from there that need to connect to the intake or TB. Can you point which line it is out in the picture above?

i dont think its supposed to connect to the mani or tb but right now i dont have it connected to anything and im wondering if it is supposed to be

Hey.. last week I took some close up pics of everything but I had no idea what you were talking about so I didn't bother posting.. I also have a chilton's manual diagram of vacuum lines for our cars but I don't think it'll help either..
Here's some pictures by the reservoir... I'll get the chiltons picture in a minute.
I wish I could help you out more but I really have no idea which lines you're talking about.. sorry man.
You can see the one line coming off the AC compressor.. but I don't see any others..
Lemme know if it helps at all or if there's something there that I can follow to where it goes.

the line highlighted in red is the one that i am trying to figure out where it goes...
is the one thats highlighted on red the one thats coming from the ac compressor?
The one highlighted in green is the one that runs to the compressor from the throttle body, (i.e. the one I have routed between runners 2 and 3 of the manifold). However, I never came across the one highlighted in red when I did the swap or any other time but I guess it goes on there somewhere, I have to jack up the car within the next couple days to fix a strut so I'll take a look in the area at the bottom of the compressor to see if there's any other vacuum lines running there.
