I tried a 40 series for about 2 weeks then my ears started to bleed and off it came. It was cool tho at around 4000rpm it felt like a V-tec cam coming on line cause I guess there was enough exhaust flow to start that whole negative presure thing working.

i have a 3in 40 series on my car...makes the idle lopey. under 3k all you hear is a nice deep exhaust note..from 3k up its mostly drowned out by the turbo whine i love it

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

i just want a good sounding muffler and my car to not sound like a honda with a fart can. i would just be a sunfire with a fart can.lol.thanks. i had a 50 series on my ranger and it sounded good. a friend of mine has a 40 series on his mx-6, it sounds good but wayyyyy to loud. so i figured that a 50 series would sound good b/c i heard one on a pt cruiser and their engine is only a 2 tenths of a liter bigger then my ecotec.

agreed, when my 40 series is cold it sounds a little crappy but once it is warmed up it is great. i say put the 40 or 50 series on the eco, you will love it. my friends think it sounds better than 90% of the other 4 cylinders around here. they are all v8 guys and my car is about as loud and deep sounding as theirs, even louder than some.

no such thing as sounding like a honda....

4 cylinders can all sound the same.

check this out. http://www.magnaflow.com/05news/magazine/05sportc.asp

90% of the times most cars sound like crap, even when cold is because they lack the proper parts in the exhaust. cant rely on JUST a muffler to do it all, especially once you start adding boltons...

i totally agree with when it warms up. i have a 40 series delta with no res on 2 1/2" piping. it sounds good to me. it is a little loud but that keeps me from getting a ticket by staying off it. nut it does sound mean

see ya!

i just got mine put on today and love it.

40 Series on 2.5 in pipin in prep for turbo. Raspy when cold after a few minutes nice and throaty. Kackles nicely when you let off it to.

I don't need no stinking SIG. Wait this is one.
DOH!
