So I just had the local exhaust guys put my pacesetter header on. I've got an 04 Sunfire with magnaflow cat back. Now when I drive around when I hit bumps or sometimes idle at a stop sign I here ratling that sounds like it coming by the muffler. What the hell is it when I get to higher speeds it goes away. I something rubbing underneath. Please help me out.

More than likely it's a hanger that is loose or an area of the piping that doesn't have a hanger that is rattling on an metal or solid area. Take it to your exhaust shop and make sure that it's not moving.

my guess is they didnt get the down pipe lined up right , and its either hitting the firewall area


or it pulled or pushed back the cat back and is causing it to rattle

They did something wrong, I have no problem with both Pacesetter header and hi-flow cat, get it back to the shop, so they fix the problem... for free, if they did something wrong they won't have the choice...

have them check the hangers and tighten up all the flange bolts. they tend to just start to undo themselves periodically
