hey my buddys car wont start i know we are geting fuel but how do i check for spark
two ways i know of...
safer way.... go to pepe boys and look for the spark plug ignition tester... looks like a spark plug, you plug it into the sparkplug wire, or off the coil pack, and if it sparks the light lights up.....
other way, wait till dark, remove the spark plug and put it near a ground, like a bolt.... crank the car.
What kind of car we talking about? Year, motor, etc.

stick your toung on the plug wire

like event said, unplug and remove a sparkplug, plug it back into the wire, and hold the boot with the plug in it near the frame and watch for an arc. DO NOT touch the plug or the car near the arc while cranking the engine. if it arcs, plug it back in and go to the next one. repeat till you find the bad spark
