2.3 TB Cruise or Not - How To Tell?
Saturday, August 06, 2005 11:11 PM
I am doing the 2.3 mani swap on my 2.4 and am going to go with a 93+ TB from a 2.3L. I have cruise on my car, so the way I understand it is that I need to find a TB that has the cruise optino on it? How can I tell whether or not it has cruise? Thanks!

look at your stock tb , and you will see 2 cables attached to it , 1 inside the wheel , and the other is snaped to the out side of the wheel , on a piece that looks kinda like the head of a nail

that head of a nail needs to be there for cruise

What difference does it make if it is a TB previous to 93?

I pulled one with the manifold for a 90 grand am, which had cruise. Can this TB still be used on a 2.4?

Thanks

yup, but you might run into some sensor placement issues like I did, I had to extend the wires on my IAC sensor because it faced the wrong way.
