i have a K&N intake, that is basically a filter and an S-tube into the silencer on my 2.4L 96 engine. i was wondering how much hp or torque i can gain by putting an injen intake that goes right up to the TB and replaces the silencer?
and im talking about the injen WAI, not the CAI

You won't gain HP. You will lose it. Let me explain. You will be making much more noise and we all know NOISE = HP. Right? SO if all that noise is escaping the engine, you will obviously be LOSING some HP since the noise isn't going into the engine and coming out the exhaust... But torque might certainly go up!

I'd say maybe 5whp, max. but youll gain it all over the powerband, except maybe the first 1k rpm. go for it. im gonna purchase the expensive but interesting secret weapon intake in a couple of weeks to replace my ghetto rigged setup im on now, lol..
