I tried a 4.7k resistor ( accually whats in the box) on my 04 ecotech...little bit more torque steer and a cherp on the 1-2 shift (auto tranny) thats it. Maybe 2-3 hp and 2-3lb-ft...being generious. Didn't do anything for or against driveability.
Man you are not going to feel more torque steer from 2-3 hp at the crank, and as far as chirp goes you are going to hear more if you take a big dump before you get in the car than what that is going to do. Do you have any induction mods? Our cars run rich enough stock if anything you are going to hurt performance in the long run.

almost every person who claims to have gained so much power is pretty much delusional...
it will ruin your engine big time. fouls plugs dumps gas into engine .pretty much reverses your air fuel ratio

I too was suckered in, except I only paid a few bucks for the resistor. It did sem to make a differance, but the differance was in the vast amounts of fuel it used. But hey, if you wanna lose 3-4 MPG, and make some carbon deposits, go for it.
