You can't call him stupid if he's asking a question because he really doesn't know. Lack of car knowledge doesn't make anyone less intelligent than another person.

its just a 10k ohm resister you can buy a pack of five at radio shack for a doller. buy it
and try it if you like what it does great if not then you only wasted a doller. they make the computer "think" the incoming air is 32 degrees so it gives the engine more fuel.
and theres still a debate as to weather it changes your spark timing. i tried it i got a 5
pack from radio shack and split the cost between some friends that way it cost me a whole .20cents. it only feels beter on hot days but not by a whole lot. we ran the car on the dyno at lincoln tech ( before it broke ) and on hot days it showed only the slightest gains. and i mean bairly any. on days when it was cool out there was no gain at all.
but it does have 2 side effects.
1. your gas mileage WILL drop about 2-3 mpg.
2. your air conditioning will not work when you first start the car in the morning. after it
warms up it will start to blow cold.
and never feel stupid for asking a question thats how you learn, there are no stupid questions only stupid people who are afraid to ask.

thanks im glad everyone on this site isnt an @!#$
so a 10k resitor is the best one? has any one tryed one bigger?
Beware the Rouge Dragon.
^^^^^ Don't waist your time with the 10k or higher or lower. It will make your computer dump more fuel, but with out the air to mix with the fuel it will do nothing.
New sig in the works

10 k = 32 degrees in computer speek. i dont think if you went more it would do anything
but again its a cheep enough exparament.
the more resistance the colder the comp thinks it is. if i remember right the lowest it goes is like -35 degrees and it was something like 15k ohms but im not at work so i cant double check. let me know if you want me to tho its no big deal.

all these Ebay chips, Jet, and Venom modules are junk. they do NOTHING!!!
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
dont listen to them they already have the resister in there cars right now!! they just want to keep a brother down thats all. go get 10 resisters if you want to that way you'll be faster then them and when they ask how you did it tell them you put in high speed ceramic coated muffler bearings with a teflon coating. also you have had the kanibler pins machined down for less drag.

while youre at it after purchasing the resistors might as well as buy an oil bypass kit all that oil in the pan running through your motor creates drag on the internals and just adds weight
absolutly correct draining the oil will also increasee hp. and dont forget to remove the
transmission too that thing causes a huge chunk of power to be lost.

LMAO guys your so mean to the poor fella
