Ok so after having these cams for half a year I`m finally putting them in on saturday here is the parts I have let me know if I`m missing or forgetting anything:
1-Timing Chain
2-New guides
3-Tensioner
4-Tensioner Shoe
5-Side engine gasket
6-Secret cams
7-oil and filter
8-cam carrier gaskets(I`m not using the ones between the head and carrier but I have them)
I did the water pump a while ago so I`m not doing that now anything else I need or anyone wants to add?

You dont have to take the carriers off of the head, I`m pretty sure you can just open them up I may be wrong but I dotn see why I would bother taking them off if tis not necessary. But if I do have to I`ll change em.

Good luck with that, I plan on doing mine really soon as well. I've been skeptical about timing the motor correctly and being able to pull off the install without putting in too many hours. You aren't by chance anywhere near Ohio are you cause I'd be more than happy to help and get some experience!!
I`m in London but I`m going to anotehr JCO members place in mitchell ontario I dont think its that close prolly atleast 4 hours.

All my exhaust parts are here now, so I just gotta find the time to put them all in...The cams will be fun fun.
I reccomend doing the cam carrier gaskets, and taking off your lifters. Then put the lifters upside down in oil so that they don't bleed down. Make sure to keep them in the same order you took them out. Then when you change the gasket put it all back together with assembly lube. I know for sure once you unseat the middle gaskets they are not reusable, and I think it might be the same for the lower.
IMO it's easier to do that few extra minutes of work to avoid a leak, then do it all over again later. You've definately got the right idea with doing the extra work (timing chain, guides and tensioner), sounds like you don't want to have to take it apart any time soon.

yeah got that too came with the carrier gaskets, how vital is it to change the gasket between the head and carrier? I didnt really want to bother but if tis a high chance of having an oil leak after then I will any input?
