I was just looking around online earlier, I knew NY J Bodies had the 2.4 section in the library telling the part # of the manifold, But when I went there today, the 2.3 section brought to some kind of odd menu...
Anyways, in short, I was checking out some cars at the local U Pull It yard, and found 4 or 5 2.3 engines with that intake, but couldn't tell which was which without the part #'s.
Where on the intake IS the part #?
Also, every car was complete with the intake, AND 56mm TB.
SCORE.
If there's enough interest, I may just go snag TB's and Intakes all day long and sell 'em on here.

I almost got shafted by someone because I didn't know the difference, I don't know the numbers.
the HO is bigger than the LO, also im pretty sure all the HO's have the plugs on the back.
the top is HO, bottom is LO

Word. It's nice to see the odd shaped LO style too, I've only seen one other picture of that one.
And out of curiosity, is there a big demand for these intakes?
I saw a few at the local boneyard, and if enough folks wanted them, I could go snag them and sell them on here with the TB.. the only thing is I wouldn't wanna sell broken parts, so I'd need to probably mount every one to my car with the TB to make sure they worked.
And that would be a pain.

The 8th digit of the VIN should be an A... not a D. That is, of course... if you're finding the engines still in the cars.

how much does it help by putting on a 2.3ho intake on a 2.4? any hp estimates?

Honestly that pic tells you everything you need to know. The plenum on the HO has a consistent size throughout, whereas the LO is a bit smaller on one end. If that's not enough, the HO also has the small bolt on the backside of the plenum, on the side that the throttle body is not on.

im stupid or something still dont know which is which?is the one that look likes a 4-2-1 header the l.o manifold please just post me a pic of the h.o one cause i just bought one from ebay and really need to know if it the right one?

Unfortuneately so do a few, VERY few L.O. intakes out there have the nut thing on the backside.

This may be a dumb question, but I want to do this swap on my 2.4L with cruise control. How can I tell if the 2.3L TB has the cruise option or not?
