when putting on a new upper and lower motor mount, you dont have to put a jack under the engine or anything like that do you?

sometimes you do, in order to get the second bolt on the dogbone to line up perfectly. i just set a block of wood on the jack and jacked up the motor very very slowly and carefully.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

Actually it all depends like Spotabee said.

I know when I had my upper motor mount installed, they supported the motor with a jack under neath the motor and kept jacking it up when they saw it was sinking a bit. If you do do that, do it quickly and with atleast 2 people.
