which is better???

running way rich, or running a bit lean?

on a side note, I have the gm sc, and my car runs way rich lol. I have no idea what could be causing this, but the way that I know its running rich is whenever our car club caravans somewhere, the person always behind me smells it so......what could it be??

Well more air more fuel, Hows you A/F ratio?

Have you upgraded injectors?

Have you Reflashed your comp?

How much boost are you running?

What size drive pulley?

Have you upgraded your fuel rail?

Have you upgrade anything else in your fuel system?

Have you checked your sensors lately, ie. O2 sensors, map sensor, IAT sensor, etc?

the leaner you get the more power you will make to a point , and that is usually very close to the point the motor will POP

best is to keep the a/f ratio on the 12 range

13's are border line , 14's are POP time

You will make the most power on the top edge of the lean side. You have to be careful in this case beacuse too lean... and you'll melt your cyl walls and trash your motor. Running too rich? Eh you'll just shoot flames, foul up your plugs, and bog out a lot. Your PCM will keep you from running too rich or too lean. However, if you can tune it to run just a taaaaad lean at WOT, then you'll be gravy.

2.8"

no
IAT yes, o2 and map no

what could cause my car to be running so rich? i towed the car to the dealer and got the pcm or whatever reflashed like it said, but it runs way too rich, unless its supposed to. idk if it is or not.
