I am trying to find out why my car is misfiring so i bought some accel wires tonight that i had to make the boots to where the connect the coil pac, and i bought 4 new Delco plat plugs. What should they be gapped at? I removed one from cylander 1and it was gapped at .030 and they new ones are gapped at .035 -.038. When i got them from advance they said they should be gapped at .050 since there is such a difference i wanted to ask to be sure i put them in. Also what kinda of lube should i put lightly on the new plugs? I have some high temp semi-synthetic stuff i use for my wheel bearings. Will a small amount of that work?
get some NGK TR6's, they should be gapped at .030

I bought some new Ac delco's for the time being. My haynes manual says .050 for gapping and so do other posts on here? Is that correct because i already put them out to between .045 and .050.
CRJ .050 is the correct gap for the AC Delco plugs. If you do not have an owners manual for your car, you can make an account on myGMlink.com and enter in your car info. Once they have set up your account, you will have access to an owners manual that you can download for your reference.

Yea AC Delco's should be gapped at .050. However... NGK > AC Delco

^^ I know but when your trying to diagnose a problem, 13 bucks for NGK or denso iridium plugs didn't seem appropriate. New plugs and wires are in and it seems to idle nicer, still have to take her out on the road and give her some gas.
i usually just gap em at whatever is reccomended for stock. thats even with my denso iridium.
Took it to work this morning, and had the pedal to the floor all the way to 60 mph. Not a single misfire! For some reason she also is shifting better now, hrrmmm.... weird.
Glad i solved that problem, not i just have to deal with my 60+mph vibration problem. mmm CV shafts.
