torque specs

for a header and do u absolutly have to put it on when the engine is cold i dont want to leave my car at the shop. does the head expand?

it takes a while to take everything apart in order to get the header on. i always install everything in my garage. i just pull the car in, let the fan blow on the engine bay for about 10 minutes, get the car jacked up and on jackstands, maybe have some pre-meditation and get everything sorted out. then begin taking things apart. i really don't follow so called torque specs when installing headers and exhaust parts. just tighten them as much as you can with a good 3/8 or 1/2 drive socket. after you install the header and b pipe, and drive around for a few days, you will want to check all the bolts, especially the collector from the header to the b pipe. they tend to wiggle loose after a fresh installation.

Honestly, you wouldn't want to touch your motor if it was hot....

thanks but i dont have a whole bolt on exhaust so if i put it on then go to the garage and finish it? yes yr post was the best, man
cause i think i need to cut the cat says the instructions. does the extension tube supost to go into the cat
my stock exhaust is like one piece long
