I am looking to buy a header off a local jbody owner. but i have a question it is for a 98-02 2200 and i have a 96 2.2. will it fit? if so what problems will i run into. etc.. any info will be great.
the O2 sensor is in a different spot on the header, and i believe the 95-97 header have an egr valve on them. (correct me if i'm wrong)
New sig in the works
depending on which copy of the header it is it should fit
you will have a problem with it attaching at the cat , the 95-early 98 have a flanged cat , and late 98-02 have a welded cat
also you dont have to worry about the egr
It'll bolt to the head. You're going to have to take it to an exhaust shop to get the b pipe welded to your cat. What I would do, to prevent having to drive across town, would be to install the header, bolted to your stock b pipe, have them bolt up the OBX b pipe and weld it to your cat. Or buy a new cat and have flanges welded onto it to match your catback and b pipe flanges. There's a few different routes you can go with there.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
So wait im lost i can bolt up this (pic1) and leave the pipe in the top left of (pic2) out for now and blot the stock pipe to (pic1)

get a high flow cat....weld a flange to it to fit the obx b pipe so you can just bolt them together rather then having to weld them together....do you have an aftermarket catback?
yea crum jeez what the hell is wrong with you! lol jk
