hard to replace engine mounts?

the upper engine mount on a '96 2.4L looks like it will be pretty easy to install, but how do you install the lower engine mounts?

and to install the upper do you have to put the engine up on somthing? any pics or info on replacing engine mounts would be great!

thanks...

It is best to support the engine to replace them, just to be careful.

The upper is alot easier to do than the lower just cuase of the room you have to work with. If any of the bolts are difficult to get off use a breaker bar to help. The lower one takes some convincing to go into the slot/line up properly, but nothing a little muscles cant take care of

you can support the engine with a 4x4 laid across finder rail (where hood sits) to fender rail get alarge hook bolt and washer and nut from lowes about 7 inches drill trough the 4x4 where the engine loop for removing engine is place the hook in the loop and put nut on bolt and use wrench to support the engine safely remove one mount at time loosen before raiseing hope this helped john
