MSD on ecotec complete guide website

Mods may want to make this a sticky as there have been many threads on this in the past and will most likely be more in the future.

I have uploaded my complete guide on how to wire the MSD DIS 2 to the ecotec, the site contains many pictures with detailed descriptions on what to do and why your doing it. I have tried to be as precise as I can be and there are some things that I will revise in the future as I get some better pics.

So here it is, if you go to my site which there is a link for in my sig and click on Ecotec how to it will bring up the msd guide or for those looking to quick reference <http://www.livewirerodimus.com/Ecotec/msd.html

Hrrmm I will need to update some things on there I had quite a bit of trouble getting the 340 code to go away today when I actually put mine on and like a dumbass I wasnt paying attention to where the ICM was and it accidently touched the postive term on the battery and fried the ICM, good thing I had a spare

Quick question, at the beginning of the write up it says to use 93 or better. Would 91 still be okay? Or is it going to be a problem?

Rodimus, great write up, but is there anyway to change the page background to make the reading easier?

well i could remove it . You can run 87 if you want, but I think you would be happier with the results on 93

So much easier to read now. We don't have 93 in Cali. 91 is the highest at the pump. I do know of one station around here that has 100, but it's a 5 gallon min which works out to $35 for the min.
