has anyone found a hood scoop that not only looks good, but aslo actually is functional?
I might be wrong but you could make any hood functional by cutting away the hood under the scoop..... its what my friend did anyway.... dont know if it got him anything performance wise but I am sure it increased the air under the hood.
i have seen quite a few funtional hoods..i guess it all depends on which one you buy..i know some guys do a little custome work to them to make them work better though...
THE GUY SURE LOOKS LIKE PLANT FOOD TO ME!!!
well the only thing i'm worried about (i'm a teen) is that i don't have the exp. to know exactly how to do it to get it right and i don't have the cash to buy another one... so do you know any sites that sell functional ones?
well fill out your profile, but i know rksport has ram-air hoods that are functional, they deliver the air right to where your intake should be.

i used a stock steel hood, fiberglass scoop, and turbo sunbird louvers about 4 years ago.
have a cowl hood, i just need to finish now which is all metal and lighter.
all depends on what you want it to look like. teen or not, anytime is a decent time to learn. i made the blue on above in my college dorm room, the sanding, glassin, and everything.
your call though.
wow...im speachless, taht really accualy looks perfect
nice job
thanx, althought, i'll admit, there were some imprefections. being that it was my first time, i didnt know how to use the red glaze putty right (dont use it to fill divets, just pin holes) and that you cant leave it unprepped for a long time as it absorbs moisture. so when the paint was baked on, i had 2 smaller than a half a dime bubbles in the paint. one visible and one where no one can see.
but live and learn right?
Event...have any problems from water wetting things under the hood? ive considered doing some vents but i am kinda worried about getting things too wet.

You made that damn thing in your dorm room? I swear, just when I think I've got a handle on all the crazy stuff you've done, something else like this pops up.
I like it!
