Hey every one im new to the hold Jbody thing i got my cavalier not long ago when i got it i found out the old motor was blown so they put an alero motor in it same year and everything will the parts ive bought work on the alero i have a header and a Cold air intake PLZ some one help me out
some parts should work , the motors are the same
but keep in mind both cars are on different chassis
pacesetter sells a header for the alero/grand ams , for the 99-02 years
Thanks alot dude ive been asking around and no one would help me out.But about the Air intake do i have to buy one made for the alero?
Air intake SHOULD fit, but the header downpipe will be different cause its a different car. But the header itself should fit.

the wai intakes should work from what i remember
you might want to check out some of the grand am websites , since they are a N-body , like your self
also pacesetter will have a cat back its a single into the muffler and dual out with 2 tips on each side
Hold up... you say you have a CAVALIER with an Alero motor in it... (not the other way around).
The motors are the same... no difference. So of course Cavalier parts will work in your Cavalier

the cavalier wai will fit on a alero. i have a 96 grandam and it all fits except the header and down pipe made by pacesetter which i found out the hard way. i still have it for sale if anyone is interested!

Apparently only Lenko and I can read. Cav parts will work on your Cav with a standard Cav engine (even if it's out of an Alero)

i was thinknig the samething as i was reading thru the posts before i got to Lenko's
but like he said. Cavaler parts will work on your Cavalier. no need to buy Alero parts

most engine parts work from the jbodies..even the strut tower braces do.
the b&m shiift plus pretty much if its the same engine and tranny it'll work..exhaust will be different because of the chassis. I think the sensro the the header is in the different place to. other than that i think everything works

Just so you know that its a cavalier with the alero motor IN it and not an ALERO with a cav motor in it
then you can just use the cavalier parts
