Hey everybody i have a question. i plan on getting the RSM crank pulley but i have asked around to see if their really worth it or not and i got mixed answer some say yes some say no. so am asking the org to see what all of ya'll say about pulleys before i spend the money for it. comments appericated thanks.
you have the 2.2 so ide get the cavalierconnection.com pulleys; they are cheaper than the rsm and you get the alt puller too; def worth it.

I think that amount of money would better be spent elsewhere

Hey, i love my RSM pulley, the faster rev ups and quicker acceleration i think is worth it.
And as for the Alt pulley, if you have a system like i do, it will only give you problems.

i have had no problems using the alt and crank pulleys i have a system but its not really a lot.... 99$ for both is definatly worth it... search

thats one of my big deals because i do have a system. i have a 1000watt amp and 2-12's. i have heard that some pulleys would effect my accessories like my system. what kind of gains should i accept from the pulleys.
lawnmower racer: how long have you had your pullet and what made you go with the RSM pulley.
I went with RSM for 2 reasons.
1) my next soor naeighbor was selling one,
2) was the price, it was the same as when he bought it, but his car was totaled the same day it came in the mail, so he was screwed.
As for HP, i dont know, i didnt dyno it. And ive had my pulley since Oct last year.
As for the alt, if you underdrive your alt, you will gain HP, at a loss to your electrical system. Because you will be running the alternator slower, so it cant pump out enough power for all your accessories.
Im running an 8 speaker surround, not counting tweeters, and 2 Basslink T's.

I tought about it for my ecotec, but what would be better a smaller one or a lighter weighted one. would a light weighted one affect my accesories as bad as a smaller one?
Beware the Rouge Dragon.
dont get the under drive pullies , get the stock size replacements from RSM
they are the only 1's i know of right now that are offering a stock size pulley that is lighter
See that's where I'm getting confused. I have a 2.4 I would like to get a lightened alternator pulley for my car. Not an underdriven one. My understanding from Craig was that there weren't lightened stock size pulleys available. Of course they might have them for the Eco. So any confirmation on lightened 2.4 alternator pulleys would be awesome news. My crank pulley is going on in the next 2 weeks.
i had the UR Ultra S crank pulley(think that was it) and i liked it... sold it and plan to buy another one shortly... the alt pulley i dunno bout, i heard good things about going with the UR crank and AEM alt pulley..

so i should just get the stock lighten crank pulley but whould it effect my system.
A stock but lighened pulley would not effect your systems performance.

Keep it stock size. That won't affect your system. The lighter weight will give you some performance gain being that it reduces rotational mass.

how much gain would u expect from a lightened pulley?
