I was wondering if anyone got the HKS speed cut Defencer for the eco? I am thinking about getting one tomorrow but wanted to hear for all of ya'll

theres a reason it shuts you down though. stock car isnt made to go that fast.
Why would you even need to be going that fast anyway? Not sure what state you live in but from what I know only in Montana during day light sky is the limit when it comes to your speed limit. Most states if you get busted for going that fast or anything close to it will put you in jail and take your license away from you.... not trying to be an @ss just trying to figure out why you would need to go that fast....

well Kenny you need to do some more reasearch on this subject and other areas as well. the JBO will not give out that info unless you prove to us that you are trapping at 108 mph in the 1/4 mile, but if you have your car gonig that fast in the 1/4 mile then you should already know how to get rid of limiter.

thats a nice start. but you need to reasearch some more about that turbo. if you get a turbo you wont need a header.

if you know how to make the car fast , you should be able to figure out the limiter
plain and simple
if you cant figure it out than you have no need going over the speed gov

this is a tabo subject , and if you used the search button you would know about it
in all honesty, i am fairly knowledgeable about cars and all the electronics, but this is not something I have explored, but all things considered i could hook up 100 shot, do some suspension mods + minor other little bolt ons and be track stable and close to hitting the limiter if not stopped by it. When I get to that point ill ask someone for help, and know someone will be willing to help me cause I will be gettin that trap time.
As for wanting it, put ur turbo on get it tuned, bring some slips then im sure people will help you out. Why do you need to take it off for now until you get it, too many people say oh my car goes that fast then it dies i hate losing to my friends VTEC it sux0rz so bad mang, and they have an intake.
Alot of people on here are very strongly aginst street racing because no matter how safe youthink you are being, there are alot of uncontrolables. Sure that road nobody is ever on at night in the country is a good place to avoid traffic and people, ill tell ya one thing, deer and cars both look MUCH different when they collide at 100+ MPH.

First i am not asking how to get rid of the gov i am just asking if anyone has used the hks speed limiter defencer that is all i never said i wanted to go faster then 108 if you look back at the top.i was asked the question but i didn't say that is what i wanted to do i am working to get the turbo untill then i will buy mods that will help me in the 1/4 mile but if you want me to show you that i am bogging out on the 1/4 mile well there is no way that i will get there intill i get my turbo my car isn't fast enough so if they decide to lock this then i hope they understand what i am asking. i have see post that ppl ask how to get rid of it. I know were i can get my ecu flashed but i don't want to send it to canada and wait a month or so because they are backed up. i also don't want to pay the $550.00 dollars that it will take right now. so for you telling me that i will not get info then that is BS! i just want to know has anyone used the defencer or not and how they got it to work. If i am the first one to use it then i will tell ppl about it so they can enjoy the benefits that it brings or tell them that it doesn't work!

if you cant handle that , and the fact you cant handle the answers your getting

Anotehr thing is that when you cross 70 mph, the car doesn't freakin pull anymore. It take forever to get to 108 so you are just plain stupid doing so and you risk other people life to say "hey I'm cool I went to 108mph with my econo box" It's the same things as going 80mph in a Geo Metro.

As far as I know, no one has tried it out. I have always thought about it but never bothered with it to be honest with you. It would be something nice to see if it works or not. I mean a few companies make something similer to it which works for many other cars out there but not sure what all the little computer box thingy does to trick it or by pass it.
Do you have anymore info on the item it self? How it works or what it does?
