That is the one I have. It's a quality piece (of course it is though--it's Magnaflow). Works well once it's broken in.

I have the 23" Dynomax one had it for about 7 months no problems, and sounds awsome with it.

Any resonators should work good . All it is , is basically a glass pack to cut down on some of the noise before going into the muffler . Just depending on which length you get will determine if it quits the exhaust down some .

If you can get a Dynomax or any other reputable brand for a cheaper price then yes get it . I would use something at least 17" or longer on the body . The stock resonator is only around 12" to 15" . As for my swap I opted for the 36" 3" in / 3" out . My exhaust should be a low rumble with out any weed wacker sounds .

i think im just gonna go with the 24" 2 1/4 in 2 1/4 out since im getting 2 1/4 exhaust piping

I have a Weapon-R muffler and it sounds really good -- just a little on the loud side and pops occasionally. Right now the entire exhaust is stock (except for the muffler). I want to get a resonater to lower the decibals a bit and reduce some of the popping. But I also plan on getting headers and a cat-back (2 1/4") within the next year... would it be okay to get a 2 1/4" resonator so I could use it for my future cat-back or will the size difference negatively affect the exhaust flow on my current setup?

I have had a glasspack as a muffler on my old S/Ffrom 1999-2002 and it held up very damn good.
That was the reason, I went for another Dynomax product as part on my new exhaust set up.

You have to remember guys, resonators will not lower the noise of the mufflers, all it does is remove the raspyness and make about one note deeper in sound from no resonator exhaust system.

Careful with those DYnomax mufflers.
The OD is 2.25 but the ID is ONLY 2"!!
But the cores are preforated the good way.

If you order from Summit (where I got my 2") they lis the proper dimensions.

....they have listed on that site that mr goodwrench gave that the 2 1/4" has a 2 1/4 in and out....are you saying that its not 2 1/4 in and out? and they have the wrong size listed?

Re: Resonator
Monday, June 06, 2005 9:51 PM
cause the part number on summits site and on jegs site is the same....so they have to be the same sizes
