Saw that you just joined and welcome, however please update your profile so we can see what engine your workin with. plus a list of any current mods. A good place to look is in the faqs section too. Check out the newbies faqs as well as the one at the top of this forum. That will help you from buying stuff like the ever popular "jet chip" off ebay. Plus you have to decide what you want to actually go with N/A or F/I. Hope that helps man and welcome your new addiction.

Thanks Rich I have a ecotech motor nothing done to the beast yet, I'll look into the FAQ section. I just like to hear everyone's opinion, sometimes ppl or companies have bad days. I'am looking to stay n/a along with the help of Nitrous just the cheap budget mods.
My previous car was a Subaru STI with 349 AWHP.
Thanks Nick
A N/A build is different from a nitrus build. you won't see the same results building an engine to be NA then spraying as you would had you built the engine with n2o in mind. I'm also not sure how big of a shot the stock intervals can handle on the ecotec...
Anyway, Engine mounts, tranny mounts if you have a 5 speed, cold air intake, Header, high flow cat, 2.5" cat back for n2o or 2.25 for N/A, larger throttle body, a lighter Crank Pully, better clutch, lightened fly wheel, lighter rims, better tires, short throw shifter if 5 speed, Auto-trans interceptor or B&M Shift Plus if auto, better suspension and brake upgrages are going to be your basic bolt on's
From there your looking at head work and changing the intervals of your car.
woops...

www.mantapart.com
www.exploitedracing.com
sit down and figure out what you want to do. nitrous, turbo, whatever. then research what others have done
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
me personally im going with an N/A build up then spraying later on and ive gone with stage 2 cams, 62mm TB, motor mounts, intake, shiftplus and will be installingshortly a 3000 stall converter and doing a soild tranny mount. future im going with the patriot stage 2 head (www.patriotperformance.com), an ECU reprogram when its available for individual use, pacesetter header, full 2.25 exhuast side exit, forged 11:1 pistons and rods, and then lastly probably a 100-125 shot of nitrous.
jsut and idea for you but as siad above the FAQ's at the top of the forum pages are very helpful and are a must read
