i just got a pacesetter ceremic coated header. but since then i've been getting this knocking sound which sounds like the downpipe hitting the firewall. it only happens if i drive the car for a long period of time, or if i'm racing. i'm thinking this knocking has something to do with the heat from the header, but i'm not sure how to fix it. oh it only happens when i'm under braking or stopped, as soon as i let off the brake it stops.. weird stuff.. if anyone can help me out that'd be cool, or if anyone else had this problem let me know what you did to fix it.
have you tightened everything up since the install?
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
i checked that, all the bolts to the manifold are tight, i got under the car and checked the welds and there good too, as far as i can tell nothing has come loose.
it could be your b pipe knocking against the firewall, in which case you could try and get a flex pipe for it.

thats odd that header shouldnt have any clearance issues

Get a lower motor mount that solved my knocking problum in my sunfire.
i have both engine mounts, but i'll check the lower one to see if thats loose or something.
I don't have problem with mine, when I installed it, I have let enough clearance between the downpipe and the firewall..
ok i figured it out, because now i'm getting a bunch of rattling from under the car. to make a long story short, i went under the car and looked everything over again, they moved my whole exhaust back and to the side a few inches, so it wasn't only hitting the firewall, but the heat shield and the rear axel. i'm not sure how they did this but it looks like they did a really bad job putting in the hi-flow cat, so i'm having them fix everything for me.

Acutally get that AND the RK Sport upper engine mount to keep it completely still. In the mean time, see if you can find a way to fix that issue.
