nothing new, sneaky petes have been around for years.
Yes that is true but sneaky pete's still use a regulated delivery system, this has a hose you put in your intake and turn a knob to deliver nitrous. Seems purdy dangerous to me.
no doubt, but everyday theres a new fool. and prob already someone from here who has bought one
are those electric superchargers worth it if you cannot afford a turbo? or would i be better off saving up for a turbo in the long run?

i REALLY hope you are joking around if you think a computer fan will throw in the same amount of boost a turbo or supercharger will...
common sense: if power was that cheap as found on ebay and other BS places, do you think people would spend a few THOUSAND on a turbo or supercharger.
damn its good to have you back event
i kinda thought those electric turbos were bs because i was told that they just swirl the air around and not blow it into the throttle body
that scares me. oh crap I only have 3 posts left....
yeah. I remember seeing something in someone's sig...
"Breaking things is expensive and horsepower isn't cheap"
words to live by I suppose.
I seen something like that on ebay too, but it wasn't being sold as nitrous , they said it was C02 to "provide a cold blast of air intoo your engine" I think this is the same thing that someone just paid $100 for ::smacks forehead::
C02 is the samething used in a fire extingusher to put out the fire. not a good thing to be introduced into an engine
Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
If its a CO2 kit its getting introduced to your engine bay not engine. Putting CO2 in your engine smothers combustion. I really hope that no one put the kit into their intake but around it. Supposivley it gives a nice little gain. All it does is cool the air going into the engine by about 20-30 degrees. (estimation by other posts I looked at) By no way does it replace nitrous but for someone that wants to shave maybe a tenth off their times it helps. Plus its cheap to refill, its paint ball gun air
Rich
That looks like a 9oz C02 tank for a paintball gun!
1995 Pontiac Sunfire 2Dr.
2.2L 5Spd.
I think your right, it looks just like the tank on my brothers paint ball gun.
What I can't believe is someone paid a $100.00 for this !
isn't the pete only for carbs anyway?
CAR GODS MADE THE 1.6 SOHC TO MAKE US 2.2 OHV GUYS FEEL BETTER.
anyone here about the electronic assisted turbos spossed to be coming out. spossed to keep the turbo spooling when ur not on the gas so there is no turbo lag
Sounds like a modded turbo timer to continously spool the turbo.
lol i rem i had sneaky pete kit on my 94 saturn sc2 man that car flew or atleast i thought so lol
You think that's bad, check out the electric blower that JC whitney has! It looks like a turbo blower, but comes in several fruity colors, and has electrics all over it. It says that it works just like a multiple throttle body system on any car.
Ok theoretically it is possible to take a turbo compressor or supercharger, and toss an electric motor on it capible of spinning it at 60,000 rpm, but technically isnt always reality. The reality would be that the electric motor would have to be the size of a starter for a desel, and have special bearings to be able to live longer than a few days running constantly. Perhaps the smaller EV motors could push it, but calculate the weight of batteries and motor and all your power you gained is going to push the heavy ride.
