i went to an exhaust shop and got the closest thing to what would fit and trimmed the rest with a dremel. Ask if they have any performance gaskets make from metal.
Contact Bryan Festa for Definedparts.com, he's a dealer for Weapon-R and can get you anything that weapon-r makes, including their gaskets. You can reach him at e-mail address support@definedparts.com and he can help you out or you can reach him on AOL screen name "Definedparts".

You can order them straight from Weapon R like $25 too much but thats where i got mine--its just 2-seperate round gaskets-nothing special. You might be able to cut a couple out of a BIG BLOCK CHEVY ROUND PORT EXHAUST GASKET they come in diff sizes. G
Does the header rub against your hood?

In other posts ppl were saying that weapon R headers rub against the hood of the car cause they go over something*.
Where as they also said that the RK sport headers go under that thing* so they don't rub against the header.
I want to get headers but if they don't fit right then whats the point???

(
I can't remember what that thing is)

they're talking about headers, not intakes
Thats what I am talking about.
It wasn't me that said they rub I mean I havn't even seen aftermarkets on a ecotec yet.
But I was informed that the RK sport rub if you use the top bolts and that the weapon R no matter what.
I was just wondering if that was a fish tale or true.

my weapon r intake hit my hood put a nice dent in it to had to cut down adapter to the t-body. the weapon r header flexpipe would hit the subframe before i put on the rk sport engine mounts
i was just thinking about getting the pacesetter headers does anyone have these on an ecotec ,do they have any problems?

since no one has posted and i dont want to make a new post. I header is loud. its been a little over 1000 miles since i had it installed. I do believe the gasket went on it and now i have a check engine light. im not all that good with motors. do sensors go bad quickly with a high flow exhaust? what will make my check engine light disappear? what is an o2 simulator? if anyone has info, please help me out
i dont want my car dying on the side of the road.
there are multiple gaskets but it should not go bad that fast unless it wasn't instlled right, second, a leaking exhaust very rarely sets check engine lights but it is possible just not real likely (opening before the first 02 sensor would let air get in and the 02 could see it and think your running lean, but hen again since there is constant flow inside the pipe chances air air is going out and not in), a "high flow exhaust" will not damage a 02 sensors, running rich will. getting your car checked out and fixed will make the check engine light go away, there about a amillion different things that could cause a check engine light. and 02 simulator is to replace the rear 02 sesor (rear 02 sensors only function is to monitor cat efficiency) if you get rid of the cat you get a check engine light for the cat not doing its job... 02 simulator tricks the computer into thinking the cat is doing its job... and no you don't use one on the front 02 rear only.... you probobally dn't need an 02 simulator and even if you did good luck finding one that works on the ecotec
oh and the header sucks a fat one... unfortunately I have it to but I have never had a problem with gaskests, but hen again mine didn't come with any gaskest or hardware
thanks for the info man, ill get it checked out and see whats going on with it
I have a Weapon R header on my car for about 1000 miles no problems at all. I have a 2.5" down pipe and high flow cat and i get an O2 senser code about 1-every 2-weeks I clear it and its good for 2-weeks. But the header is fine.
what cause the sulfuric smell out of an exhaust? i got my gaskets replaced, i get TRAC OFF come on more than check engine light. any ideas?

Just so everyone knows, it wasn't the header.
Alex, did you reset the computer after installing the new spark plugs? Is the check engine light still there?
